In fact when the H1N1 craze broke out Egypt literally slaughtered their entire swine population. You literally cannot get prepared pork unless it's in a tourist area and even then it's very rare because no muslim chef would want to cook it.
As for alchol its hard to get in cairo but you can get it in tourist areas for obvious reasons.
