Maria's ears rung as she looked up at the lights, she had handled herself well during the match, but it hadn't been enough to get the Intercontinental Champion down for the 1-2-3. Instead it was her that looked up towards the bright lights hanging above the ring. Still dazed she closed her eyes and chuckled, trying to regain her balance as she rolled herself towards the corner and the ropes, slightly tapping herself awake. It had been a while since she had felt the sting of defeat, but still there was nothing to be ashamed of. She just wasn't good enough. At least her carreer hadn't been on the line for this one. Inhaling deeply she listened to Nikki speak.
It was true, a lot of talent, GOOD talent had been fired as of late, and whilst Maria was part of the company, hell even part of the department that was at least partially responsible for the firing of those who didn't deserve it. She sighed, but had to remain silent. There was just too much at stake to tell Nikki the truth, at least for at that moment.
The mention of the Lonelyfans shoot wasn't unexpected, but it was still enough to make her blush. Still she wasn't going to be outdone and finally lifted herself off from the canvas.
>Fair is fair darling. You beat me fair and square, and you're accepting me as a worthy challenger. It's in your right to name a stipulation like that. This match has shown me that I can't sit on my laurels and just coast on my experience. I need to train, and I need to train hard. You and me. The WWA Intercontinental Title versus a Lonely Fans shoot!
Laying the microphone back down Maria rolled out of the ring, letting Nikki have the rightful spotlight after her victory. As she made her way up the ramp a thought popped into her mind as she let out a somewhat tired sigh.
>What are you getting yourself into Maria...
