If you are a trader, (west-)EU is likely the best timezone to be in. You can trade the whole day from 9am til 10pm when US closes. But if you are nocturnal (which I am) it is better to be in Asia for that matter.
In Thailand EU tradinghours start at 3pm and US closes at 4 am. Japan is even better. But Japan is not that much my thing. I'll leave for Australia! Sydney! Imagine starting at 7pm with EU and ending 8am with US closing. You'll see the sunset, and the sunrise and then go to sleep.
