>>4259210You've got to practice realism. The female figure is a real thing. No amount of short cuts is going to work if you don't UNDERSTAND the female body. You can guess what things are supposed to look like, and sometimes get it right, but relying on luck to create a good drawing will make you end up like me.
Read the books, do the exercises. Don't be afraid to draw badly at first, it's better to get the gunk out first and then work on a good sketch, rather then settle for the first thing that looks "kinda ok" and then end up with a completely broken picture like this.
There will be shaded cones, bowls of fruit and naked old men in your future. And that's okay.
