All of these 3 characteristics make it an extremely social board because you know particularly who you're talking to and their nationalities, giving it a strong sense of INDIVIDUALITY as opposed to the collective anonymity of the vast majority of other boards. At the same time, the fact that you can discuss whatever you want and the flag system give it a strong GLOBAL sense, opening our minds about what 4chan really is: a worldwide phenomenon where people in every corner of the world chat about any topic ever conceived by humans.

tl;dr: /bant/ is amazing because it encourages individuality over the collective but at the same time making it about the whole planet.
