so i think its just a result of the norm being changed by whoever it would benefit from happening, which is a lot of already very rich people because the gaming market is such a big thing now, and they only want it to get bigger so that they can sell more shit in every field, not just games but consoles themselves and whatnot, as long as the snowball keeps going and more people buy into the hobby then its good for them, if we make it a couple more generations forward then i think literally every single person you see will be playing games, imagine families gathering around tv to watch their favorite show but with lan parties instead lol
maybe its a bit far-fetched to think, but you know, youve likely seen for yourself the progression its already made and it doesnt seem to be stopping, this stuff is gradual and imperceptive after all
thing is theres a lot more money to be made from selling people games than bothering with tv, the highest grossing movie ever has made 2.8 billion, episodic shows close to that or a bit more, while just gta 5 alone has made over 6 billion dollars and counting, counting is important because people keep buying games long after theyre made, while a movie or tv show thats over and has lots its clout wont be doing much after its all said and done
so i dont think its that crazy to assume that they want to replace pretty much everything tv with video games instead, and bring it into the same level of presence in every house
this is really easy for them to do also, so why not
i think they see all of this and its what makes them push it so much, enough for such a drastic change in a pretty short amount of time all things considered
my bet is on every household having a gaming computer or console for each family member by the next two generations lol
therefore yea of course pilots would go around thinking that playing video games would actually help them out somehow
