I drove to a small town today for work. I was told ahead of time there is an odor. The town -the entire town- sometimes smells because of the enormous slaughterhouse and meat packing plant nearby. The economy of the place is the plant. You live there because you work at the plant or you run a store or gas station or restaurant to service the people who work at the plant. I thought okay there is a light unpleasant fragrance big deal.
No. I drove in there and I could already smell it through my car vents. Open the window and it's like being licked by a giant dog's tongue immediately after said dog has eaten raw meat. I asked the guy at the gas station how he can stand it. "You get used to it after a couple weeks" he said. Holy shit.
