There was a cute spanish boy that tried to pay for his order using euros today. He didn't speak any english, asked for "caffe" and I listed to names of drinks he might recognise. Wasn't sure he understood what a cappuccino was so I gestured vaguely and made some sounds to make sure he knew what he was getting. Don't think it worked.
When he tried to pay with his euros I shook my head and found a ten pound note and nodded a bit to try tell him he could only pay with pounds. He didn't seem to have any english money so I explained that he could have the drink for free using some nodding and shrugging.
He came back a bit later asking for wifi. Well, he didn't ask - he more or less just said "WiFi?"
I got on google translate on my phone and asked him if it was important. He typed into my phone that it was to message his friends saying he was at the station so of course I got the wifi dongle from the stock room and I let him use it for a bit. Told him to leave a good review and he took it quite well.
He even came back to say bye
Thanks for reading my blog.
