Recently came across the rhythmical banger that is Rammstein - Mein Land.
I thought I had the meaning of the song figured out but then checked online and people seem to be having completely different takes on it.
My thought is that the song is about colonialism, walking around and claiming lands but then expelling people you don't want. Kind of applicable to privatization of national lands. There is a even a quote in the song saying "my wave my beach". Likely implies how natures and the public realm is privatized and by persons that make it inaccessible to the general public.
Lastly we already has a song Amerika in the same album, condemning the states for extending their cultural views to the rest of the world.
Can some German speakers tell me how far off am I ?
