>>15846632I'd be inclined to say the first one is best, because it just has somewhat of a personality compared to the rest, even if by only a little. But, I suppose flashiness and being unique isn't really the matter here. What would fit the best for that character in particular? He doesn't really look like someone who would be on the front-lines, with that big backpack looking thing on his back and all, you know? I figure that he'd be someone that's not really out there. Oh, yeah, you even said that he must be the leader, then in that case, he'd obviously be in the back. A king doesn't really fight his own battles, after all. Going off that, I suppose it wouldn't really matter for him, whichever one of those weapons that he has. Because he wouldn't really be seeing combat while being busy with leadership, would he? In his case, any weapon that he has would just be there for the sake of being there, more so for show. And, actually, thinking about it like that, maybe he would have the flashier sword? Since it would show his status and everything. But I don't know. What I'm thinking of there probably doesn't apply for Warhammer lore, anyhow.
Although, going off what you said, with him looking ritualistic, I think the first one still fits. Since a literal tiny ritual knife would not really be practical to bring out to a battlefield, I don't think it needs to be exactly like one, just resembling it. That sword looks like very much like how a ritual knife would be, but upped in size and designed to be better fit for a battle. But, I suppose since it's used by another legion already, that does take away from the occult feel, you'd figure that it'd be very specifically handcrafted by them, not taken from someone else. Then that doesn't work, huh.
Anyway, if what I said before about him not being a fighter is true, then I think the third option is best. Post too long.
