personally, this doesn't lessen my faith in Christ. even if He didn't ever physically exist, it doesn't matter. Jesus the Christ- the Savior, the Liberator, God's son- is a meme. I mean that in the most literal sense. He was sent from Heaven (the realm of ideas, pure consciousness) into this material world to liberate us from the black iron prison of pure matter. the Christ, the Logos, came into this world and the end was already written- Light triumphs over the darkness. Christ is the meme that will redeem our world and establish the Kingdom of Heaven on earth.
