>>14052587No idea when things exactly are going to go down, but we're certainly in interesting times. Christ is estimated to have been crucified somewhere around 32-33 AD, which means 2032-33 will mark the end of the second millennium since the crucifixion. Now I don't want to say that Jesus is coming back on day 3 again (to God a day is like a 1000 years and a 1000 years is like a day) but it certainly feels like we're not that far off. Especially with how "end of history" we're getting with the destruction of religion in the entire western world.
I'm not even talking from an american-centric POV like televangelists like to do, I mean pretty much every developed country seems to be racing towards state atheism and an absence of morality (abortion, casual sex, massive divorce rates or no marriages at all, homosexuality, and now transgenderism for children...paedophilia will probably be the next big social cause). And now with the pandemic which has overwhelmingly resulted in public support for state power across most of the world (i.e. the government gets to mandate who has freedom to travel and associate with others via vaccine passports) I'm increasingly concerned that a sufficient economic shock could encourage support for more extensive state control over purchases. Crypto's threat to FIAT currencies is not something that will be ignored by most governments...and especially not by the American Gov. It's not like we're going to wake up one day and all require a tattoo to engage in commerce, it's going to be a long series of "rational" decisions that take us to that point.
