Kathleen Kennedy planted a poison tree in Episode 7, and that tree grew and killed the whole garden. There is nothing left in Star Wars but pain and broken promises and it doesn't matter what else is there, that's what Star Wars is now.
Even rewatching the 6 canon films all I feel is sadness. Death is too good for Kathleen Kennedy, I hope she lives with the shame of her failure for a thousand years.
