>>171808046Nice, I need to read up on Finnish mythology as I have read a lot of Scandinavian but Tolkien really loved Finnish culture and language so it must be interesting. That story sounds exactly like Túrin's which itself is a really good story that I enjoyed for its darker more tragic style compared to the rest of Tolkien's books.
I recommend reading The Children of Húrin if you haven't because its much more fleshed out version of the Silmarillion tale.

I would recommend doing some research, talk to some old Welsh people they probably have a better idea. For one thing Wales still has its own native language, that can always be a good way to preserve culture and cultural mythology.
