A got a new sword, a claymore, yesterday. It's pretty big, the pictures don't do the width of the blade justice. It cuts really well, figure I could take an arm or a leg off bout as easily as going through a water bottle. Still wouldn't recommend it for home defense though, too slow to draw and a bit inconvenient to store.
