As a kid I vividly recall watching The Simpsons, playing American videogames and consuming American culture. I remember watching The Disney channel in awe. I legitimately would have moved there in an instant. You were dynamic, entrepreneurial, interesting and energetic. We were boring, stiff and homogenous.
Fast forward ten or so years.
What the fuck happened to America? You're doing horribly raising your youth, you're at the brink of a civil war, your education tanks (par from the few elite universities where only 30% of students are actually American), you're literal slaves to your families if they're wealthy, and completely destitute if they're not, and your employers are fucking you in the ass with pharmaceutical companies and your old money overlords. You're the laughing stock of the world, where as before you were the world for a huge amount of us.
I'd rather live in fucking China than the US. At least the women there aren't literal conscious piles of Mac n cheese (40% obesity ratio speaks for itself.)
