>>21848146It's little details like that that sell me on the authenticity of the eyewitness accounts of the gospels. If it were just a story someone made up, it wouldn't have random little details like Jesus sweating so hard that he began bleeding, or Jesus, while hanging on the cross simultaneously doubting God and having faith in him, or a random kid who was following him running away naked. If I were an author, I would not include any of those details because they are either unimportant or they confuse the story. But it isn't a story. It is an eyewitness account of something that actually happened, from four different observers who were all there, recalling the same event from slightly different perspectives.
