If you're out and about and you see a magpie on its own you should greet it "Hello Mr Magpie" so you don't get bad luck
Seeing lots of mapgies is good luck
The more magpies the better
Unless it's 13 but I've never seen that many
There are lots of mapgies where I live
It's a very lucky place
One for sorrow,
Two for joy,
Three for a girl,
Four for a boy,
Five for silver,
Six for gold,
Seven for a secret never to be told.
Eight for a wish,
Nine for a kiss,
Ten a surprise you should be careful not to miss,
Eleven for health,
Twelve for wealth,
Thirteen beware, it’s the devil himself.
