The "chosen people" were only "chosen" to be the first people HE would reveal himself to, and at every turn they betrayed the one true GOD. HE literally freed them from slavery, and gave them reparations in the form of telling them to loot every bit of gold and silver from the richest nation on earth. Then he led them out in the desert on the way to the promised land, causing cool spring water to come forth for their thirst, and feeding them literal manna from heaven. Pretty fucking cool by any measure. What did the jews do ? As soon as Moses went up the mountain to get the tablets they melted the gold down to form an idol to a demon and began worshipping with a drunken orgy of animal and child fucking. The ENTIRE old testament is the story of the jews breaking every covenant (you should know what this word means) made with GOD. Every single time. That is why the jew was "chosen" because out of all the peoples that walk the face of the earth none can be counted on as well as the jew to lie, cheat, and betray. They were chosen to show the need for a new and better covenant, where it is the people that choose GOD, not the other way around (free will). Every conceivable blessing given to the ungrateful and disloyal jew. They broke every covenant and still expect GOD's blessings, because they think GOD is a chump for dealing with jews. That is their whole role in the story, except for the end where they burn in a lake of fire for all eternity.
