let's be frank here, anytime you connect to any sort of network, you are already submitting yourself to survailence. At least by running any sort of Linux, you at least have access to the source code. Only difference is that Linux doesn't come with adverts or keylogger like Unity Ubuntu or Windows. System D is an issue though.
