>>20450652Listen man, I know it might not seem like it since pessimism is easy to sell, but underneath the hood, the country is going in a decent direction. We just passed a $2.2 trillion bill on infrastructure and transportation alone, with the federal and state government ironing out details for rail, with a good amount already getting the green light and is already clearing land to build it.
Americans have increasingly and staunchly advocated for walkable cities with attractive architecture and our officials are listening, and we see that with towns like Carmel, Indiana. Who’s put their money where their month is and has done that, and has bet pretty much everything on that, and it’s working. And we see that all across the country.
Manufacturing and industry is making a comeback and there’s a swath of indicators that we should see another small economic boom mirroring something like the 1980s because of that.
And finally, the cultural zeitgeist is beginning to shift, with Americans sensibilities shifting to socially conservative and fiscally liberal. If your frustrated with the state of the country, don’t just walk away, but be a citizen and do something about it.
