Now even if I granted the possibility of those flights existing for real I could easily argue that they're using the jetstreams to greatly increase their speed. Planes use them all the time and there's some in the south they could use which go like 500 miles an hour.
If you wanna bring planes into question though let's talk about how they lose their inertia once they leave the ground and how that relates to the rotation of the earth which can be multiple times as fast as they can fly. Let's also bring up how flying from the north or south to the equator would result in the tarmac moving faster in a sideways fashion than a plane could ever keep up with meaning landing would be impossible.
If you really wanna fuck around and find out you can bring up gyroscopes because those are shown to not change in planes either over long distances that should see them go well beyond the curve.
