>>16471322>eh, wouldn't really care thoughOh, yeah, you obviously shouldn't, lol. Was just joking, sorry.
>actually that makes me wonder what would that mean in practiceProbably impossible? As you said, a completely blank slate can't really exist. Maybe if we reach a point in technology where entire countries can get their mind wiped. Imagine the amnesia pen from MIB but really large scale, or maybe something transmitted over airwaves, I don't know.
>regarding other peopleBut with gays, it did take a good amount of time for them to be accepted, still aren't in a lot of people's eyes, and it was very gradual. The bigger difference is that it was easier for people to eventually accept because they weren't really directly impacted by homos, as far as they knew. This on the other hand, would be a change that impacts a lot of people directly in something they like doing, which is exercising the right to vote. Could you really slowly set it into place? I doubt it.
Though you're still right, who knows. It's not like how things like this work hasn't changed drastically throughout the ages, and who's to say they won't again? But even then, I doubt that this exactly is what would come into place, lol, but yeah, it's a non-zero chance. Maybe as the generations shift and different mindsets start being had.
But that's considering it for a whole different group of people who we can only guess as to how they'll be. Trying to imagine successfully pushing the idea into the masses in the US today, sounds pretty impossible to me.
If I recall correctly from the last time that I saw it, some universities over there were pushing for STEM to be eliminated because of people complaining about not being able to do well at those subjects, lol, so that says something about the mindset of the people. If it's true.
Charlim.
