- evil does not exist, it's the limitation of our understanding
- what we perceive as evil is normal, it's only our values that are fake and wrong
- evil serves higher purpose
- it's an experiment
- it's one big MMORPG and we're free to do as we please
- it's a sandbox, where we train before we amass enough experience to ascend/reach for divinity
- we angered God and this is our punishment
- we broke some agreement with God and he only follows the letter of Law
- God is evil himself/possibly insane, at least in our sense
- God does not exist/is gone
- God isn't as omnipotent as we think he is
- God is preoccupied elsewhere
- God is still sleeping after he created the universe, it's still the 7th day
