>>18730846Colby sighs, and her jaw sets, but her face captures the grudging, grinding process of a person beginning to accept unwanted truths.
>"You're right, about so much of that. This is just so sudden! Carmody is an athlete, but she was never a wrestler. And it really feels like....."Colby stops. Priscilla's not the one she has to convince here. And besides, she's mostly right.
>"You're right, though. I need to find her and talk to her. Not that I'm going to encourage her. But if she IS wrestling no matter what, I should bring her here."Colby reflects on Carmody's natural way with people, how she makes friends easily and is the center of attention most places that she goes. Will that be true here too? Is she worried that Carmody will eclipse her here? Is she that insecure about her own bond with her closest friends?
Doesn't seem likely, with the bond they share now. And the day she can't tie that little shit in knots in a wrestling match is the day that Colby herself hangs up her boots and goes back to Arkansas.
Instead, she thinks of Carmody's spirited, uninhibited nature around the other Angels. And THAT makes her laugh out loud for a second, then grin.
>"I'll warn you, Priscilla. She's always been a mouthy, perverse, stubborn little thing. I'll invite her over, but that foxy swagger that you might like on video is a double-edged sword in-person."She smiles, appreciative that some outside perspective on her sister has helped her clear her thoughts after the shock of seeing that video. But then her thoughts turn to her OTHER reason for coming here, and first she smiles warmly.
>"There's one other thing I wanted to ask about: Miss USA. I just wanna say, because I didn't yet, that your congratulations mean a lot to me. Coming from both the WWA World Champion, and from Priscilla Divine, my good friend."Her smile fades and becomes more serious.
>"But I also wanted to ask about your plans.">"Are you still thinking about wrestling her yourself?"
