Let lazy ppl be lazy, and build your own corner of the world. The real problem will be stopping lazy ppl from invading what you have build. Or future generation to be lazy.
In a way, building with mainly wood, means future generations will have to make their own houses, so each generation will get to learn what it means to make something, and respect what others have made. Keep long lasting materials for important buildings.
