Ok buddy; The reason a parent forgives a child is ego based and arbitrary, because
1. There is always a limit to what human beings, even parents, will forgive whether we admit it or not, a parent will often not forgive a child for personal heinous sin against them directly or against the loved ones of the parent. God will if you repent sincerely.
2. A parent has an egoistic vested interest in their child existing and passing on their name and legacy. God does not have this for any particular individual, and yet forgives all who turn to his truth.
3. Parents would often forgive even grave seemingly unforgivable sins against others that their child commits, even if the child didn’t repent or was still proud of their sin, all because they are their child. This doesn’t take away the spiritual stain and is a mockery of God’s mercy because you value one human being over another, and both are equal to God.
God requires death to atone because any unrepented sin is grave enough to separate one from him. Parents are imperfect and can never judge someone’s heart, God does and if your heart is oriented against him to death, he will accept your will to be separate from him forever and feel the despair that logically arises from being separate from the source of any good in existence. The death of an animal represents this physically on earth, showing humans clearly that God’s cleansing fire is indiscriminate no matter the bullshit justifications you make in your heart. God is also beyond time and feels the pain eternally of any victim of sin in history, from as minor as stealing a toy to as disgustingly inhuman as rape and murder, or the Junko Furuta case. The burning rage we have for these perpetrators to be snuffed out forever and feel the suffering they caused others is exactly what God feels to a transcendent degree.
God becoming man in perfect form and defeating death for us by death itself, the death we bring upon ourselves, is the ultimate love
