The Orcs escaped oppression and have established a functioning state that they have incorporated the other downtrodden into (such as the Blood Elves, or the cursed humans that were NOT allowed into the Alliance). They are a funtional Confederacy fighting for freedom.
The orcs, blood elves, trolls, undead and cursed humans have all tried and are trying to fight curses and horrible fates. The Alliance simply fights the Horde for power.
Who would have thought the Orcs are good guys...
