A lot of that question depends on whether you take Christianity to be defined by what Paul says or by what Jesus says. Paul says long hair is shameful, and yet every picture of Jesus gives him long hair. Indeed, the Book of Acts tells us that Paul was not an apostle, Paul never even met Jesus, and he is a turd all around. However, lots of copies of the Bible say most of the books in the New Testament were written by "the Apostle Paul" who is a fictitious character that does not exist in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Furthermore, while the pharisees were impressed with Jesus' knowledge of the law, Paul calls that law "Jewish myths." Paul is a piece of shit. Jesus is pretty cool. A lot of people who call themselves Christians are really Paulites who put the word of Paul ahead of the Word of God or anything Jesus said. Paulites are heathens.
