https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6eddmafhs0YFahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury... I seem to recall that some anon said it's utterly boring, not worth the trouble. Perhaps someone with greater amount of books under his belt can feel like that way. I certainly get where he was coming from, since in it's essence the ideas that are presented here are not really new, but the book itself isn't really new either, so as always i try to keep current view of things out of the way. That said, the whole premise here is the society filled with meds, tv watching and creation of unburnable houses, that render fireman useless, except for one purpose: book burning. The author is kind enough to mention Third Reich because of course he would. It's the usual kind of inquisition business, until the main character sees a glims of the bible, and for the first time reads one passage from the book. This spirals into search of whys and hows. Quite interesting although i must say that i barely recognized any of the many quotes from other books...
