TATTOOS ARE WHITE CULTURE
TATTOOS ARE WHITE CULTURE
and have been since the stone age
Our people have used tattoos since the first ash was poked into the skin of man (and woman) razor/needle antler-shards
our people have been covered with them since day immemorial. Though the popularity has waxed and waned through the ages, it has never left us.
Christianity and its "jewish" elements promoted a negative connotation to what is otherwise a DEFINING trait of our culture and people
Tattoo inks are made from ash, our people are ONE with the trees. WE are a tree/forest people, from temperate climates. Our Ancient mythologies are rooted in and around "tree symbology" thus to have the tree made one with our flesh increases our power.
When you have "GOOD" tattoos, they can elicit beauty, enhance beauty.
tattoos can also STRIKE FEAR, and suggest 'status'.
In ancient times, given how long tattoos take, the pain that goes into them, and the artistry involved, any man or warrior who was greatly tattood was one to be respected. he had OBVIOUSLY lived long enough, through many battles to get them all done.
Armies, and soliders while on the march, were constantly hunting (antler bones for tattoo needles) and constantly laying camp, and cooking (time to hang out with the guys and do tattoo work) (fire for the ash to make the ink). Thus the "warrior" culture around tattoos arose, as men on campaign would tattoo the night away to pass time and tell a story.
