>>107208602 Timothy 4:10 King James Version
10 For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world [aion], and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia.
If they were consistent they would have translated it as
...loved this present eternity/forever (2Ti. 4:10).
A better translation would be…
...loved this present age (2Ti. 4:10).
Philemon 15 King James Version
15 For perhaps he therefore departed for a season, that thou shouldest receive him for ever [aionios];
Does this mean forever or only until Onesimus dies?
Hebrews 6:5 King James Version
5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world [aion] to come,
If they were consistent they would have translated it as
...powers of the eternity/forever to come (He. 6:5).
A better translation would be…
...powers of the age to come (He. 6:5).
Hebrews 9:26 King James Version
26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world [aion] hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.
If they were consistent they would have translated it as
...at the end of the eternities/forevers/forever and ever (He. 9:26).
A better translation would be…
...at the end of the ages (He. 9:26).
