Anyhow, I loved the fresh stuff, but I noticed that at some point in the year, the poor fishermen stopped eating these fish. After inquiry, turned out, it's seasonal. And turned out, in the slow season, all these fuckers went from eating freshly caught sardines grilled on open flame the same day they were caught, right over to eating tinned sardines, preserved from months, maybe years ago.
And they loved 'em.
