>>16023452it's my view is that sex generally speaking is a divine act, and to do it outside of divine purposes (union into 1 flesh under God), is defilement in the absolute sense - in the same way gay sex is: "unnantural" or an "abomination".
it is only recently that humans have had ubiquitous access to things like birth control - in terms of how we were naturally designed, if you layed with a woman, you most likely are having a family together.
when virginity still existed, taking that away from a woman but not joining with her basically ruined her for any other man. in your situation just think about if you were the guy on the other end

>>16023463this is why i said it's definitional. everything depends on God and nothing happens without dependence on Him, even if it is not acknowledged.
an example i might give is the betrayal at the foundation of humanity. I don't think it was "God's plan" to have humanity betrayed, although of course He knew about it, and had factored it into a his plan of perfection. I think "God's plan" was for everything to be good and perfect, and part of that was freewill, and that no matter what we do eventually ends up in the completion of that, even if that means the complete exclusion of those from reality which hate goodness and perfection (have their own idea of it).
>I guess that's why we're meant to just have faith, not to necessarily understandyeah basically. the way i see it is that everything is accounted for from God's complete perspective, and we get to have the experience of exploring it. like he knows every choice you will make and everything that happens or will happen ever, outside of time.
this is why those who are redeemed are said to have been redeemed from before they came into this world and are truly blessed - it's a kind of divine conspiracy.
if you are redeemed via Christ, you are truly beloved and favored by the maker and maintainer of all things.
