Domestic violence on the other hand is equally distributed (women are just usually too weak to beat a man to death, and are less likely to be punished for the same offense) the statistically most violence is actually occurring in purely female/lesbian relationships, where the strength of a woman is sufficient to severely harm the spouse. Low-key (non-deadly) public violence on the other hand is traditionally more of a male territorial thing.
