An attack on christ thus becomes a personal attack. Christ is supposed to be the ultimate good, therefore he is - and that ultimate good is derived from your belief.
The other is the one that is actually in the bible, the intention behind crafting the story, and how a character is used to affect reality. While you may use christ as a positive character because you've poured your positivity into that myth, how that character is used elsewhere and at large is out of your control.
This has lead to countless discussions over headcanon on boards like /pol/. Even people who believe in "christ" disagree on the character, because theirs is radically different. Some even refrain from such discussions despite believing, and thus the personal religion aspect to christianity remains true.
