>>21046001OutRun 2006 : Coast 2 Coast is a 100% pure arcade racing game, a port of OutRun 2 from the Chihiro arcade machine with extra content and stuff, it was published by Sega and created by AM2 ( The ones behind pretty much all great Sega arcade games from 1990 to 2010 ) and ported to PC by Sumo Digital, a decent studio
You all probably know or remember the very first OutRun game, but despite being an absolute classic of 2D racing, strangely enough, OutRun 2 ( Despite it's name, actually not being the second OutRun game ) did not survive it's transition to 3D, even though it was extremely late ( Late 2003 ), it didn't really was very popular in the end
The game has very, very arcade physics that makes the Need For Speed games feel like simulations in comparison, yet, feel very smooth and intuitive to play, with ephasis on long ass unrealistic drifts, might have some Burnout vibes to it, if you ask me
On the artistic side, the game's ambience is something that i can't really describe in a few words, with the game offering you only Ferraris in terms of cars, just like the original, your goal is to take your girlfriend on a high-speed trip from point A to point B, racing through traffic and rivals on beautiful scenaries, having the choice to change your destination road at the end of every stage by choosing one of two different highway junctions
The game has also quite a decent soundtrack which is mostly " Segaish ", if you know what i mean :
https://nfssoundtrack.com/blurGame can be played on keyboard, but supports Dinput controllers ( And Xinput too through mods ) and has rumble support, and altough not natively but through mods again, it has support for widescreen, high refresh rate and high-resolution too
