>>12459549well it depends on the position really. the distinction is usually that based wagies can basically just ignore their boss if they're contacted randomly on a weekend or something. salaried employees are expected to be reachable and ready to come in to deal with unexpected problems basically 24/7 even if 95% of the time they're just on a 9-5. for the trouble they get way better benefits, job security, etc. on top of getting paid the fixed amount rather than potentially getting cucked on hours or something.
regardless i looked at some numbers and i'm pretty sure you'd be able to guess your salary within like 10% at worst at any level. not that 10% is super accurate, but it's definitely more than close enough not to get rejected for an interview for mentioning it
