in theory it makes sense, in practice it's a huge waste because the real bottleneck is the number of popcorn repositories, soda fountains, etc. having 6 extra people doesn't help when all 6 need popcorn and there's only 3 places to get it. whenever they schedule more than 1 or 2 people more than registers everyone just ends up tripping over each other and standing around waiting 90% of the time anyway
