However, I've since made the switch to a combination of SMLoadrAUX and SoulSeek.
SMLoadr is a must have for convenient downloads. It uses Deezer's API cookie to extract albums, playlists straight from their servers. You make an account, press F12 and do some fiddling in the console, and boom.
SoulSeek can be very finicky for someone not used to P2P services and is full of autism, but it's stuffed full to the brim with things you cannot find anywhere else. There are recordings and bootlegs that only exist on SoulSeek, it's better than Limewire that's for sure.
Spotify can be nice but at the end of the day I prefer listening to my own music. I don't care about FLAC or have audiophile equipment, I just want ownership. Unfortunately, I'm in the extreme minority nowadays.
