One is a known and verified sample (it's not always the first one, OP is wrong about that) and the other is an unknown sample. Try to guess which one is the known sample. Type that one correctly. And then put the wrong answer for the unknown sample. It also works with picture captcha but it's not as easy to spot the unknown sample
