If you aren't going to commit it's something of a waste and cash is the worst idea because drugs are ridiculously cheap. There are plenty of other people you can meet up with to volunteer for this sort of thing if you truly do want to try to make a difference in people's lives. Or clothing or food is a respectable donation.
