I was asking if it's possible to line up a job before going to Russia and he kept saying I just have to go to Russia and be on Russian soil in order to apply for a work permit and residency. Maybe some of it was a lack of understanding, since he had a thick accent, but nonetheless I don't trust that process.
If coal goes tits up in America, maybe India or Indonesia would be better destinations than Russia or China.
