The first ‘man’ was called ‘Adam’ because Adam was the very first Atom. The word ‘Adam’ refers to ‘ground’, as in the ‘ground state’—the lowest energy state of an atom.
The first ‘woman’ was called ‘Eve’ because with Eve came the eV (as in energy, measured in electron-volts), as a consequence of being ‘taken from’ Adam. (An electron-volt is the amount of energy released when an electron is accelerated.)
This means Adam/Atom started as a neutron, only becoming our Universe’s first hydrogen atom once Eve was separated from him.
