>>19418360If God constantly intervened in Creation, the Creation would not exist as a physical universe independent of God. It would cease to be a manifest reality, but would remain merely the thoughts in the mind of God, thoughts which had not yet congealed into matter which operates under the inviolable laws of physics. A miracle is God's choice to suspend the laws of physics and the chain of causality, a dangerous procedure as it disrupts the integrity of the physical universe's lawful consistency.
Yes, this would imply a limit to god's omnipotence, but there are certain mathematical truths that even God is subject to. To have a consistent physical universe at all, you must have one where God's interventions are used sparingly. Hence why it is our spiritual duty to tune into the will of God and perform his Works. Someone could have been thinking of that child, or his father, but they were not. God does not intervene where it is within man's power to fix.
