>>19220953>the vatican bibles all remove the 2nd commandment and then split the 10th in twoThis is a common but really easily disproven misconception - For one thing, exodus 20 is almost exactly the same in the KJV and the Douay-Rheims.
It is the catechism that titles and numbers each commandment differently than protestants, and it doesn't remove jack, it just sets things under subheadings for teaching purposes. Not making idols and worshipping them comes under the first commandment for Catholics, not the second. Pic related.
>he vatican teaches that mary is the "queen of heaven", something the bible teaches is a blasphemous doctrine. It doesn't. AFAIK the coronation of Mary is a traditional belief (supported by Revelation 12:1-6), but is not dogma, her assumption into heaven is dogma, though.
>>19220953>the vatican also teaches that saints and mary can intervene on your behalf, which isn't true either. the bible teaches that there is ONE mediator between God and man:Herein lies a problem mainly brought about by a difference in worldview. For one, obviously the Saints and Mary are not mediators, you don't pray to them, you're asking for them to pray on your behalf - exactly as you would to a person living here on earth.
Because in the Catholic worldview, those in heaven (The Saints) are conscious right now, and can pray for you just as someone on earth can.
And they're BETTER at it than you are, they've been perfected in all their virtues because that is what it means to get to heaven.
