>>18872084https://archive.palanq.win/bant/thread/18840385/#q18869284>[Sola is bloody exhausted. After everything she's done here, she still can't put either her trainer or the champion away.]Sola makes the tag out to her partner -- 'partner', what a strange word to use for someone like Karna, a Dojo dropout that Sola had so recently tried to wrestle in Karna's own living room -- and watches from the apron as -- holy smokes, Karna just cracked Maria right in the head! Sola looks over at Ash, who is focused intently on Maria. Why did Karna make that look so... easy? Ash and Maria were a challenge, no doubt, but -- it's not self-deprecating to say that Sola has the lowest power level of everyone here. If anyone should have eaten the pin in this one, most people would have thought it would be her. But to beat the champion -- O-M-G. Sola (and her partner -- there's that word again) -- just beat the Intercontinental Champion, and the number one contender! Ash gives a genuine pat on the shoulder to Sola before heading off with Maria and the medical crew. Karna's offers some surprisingly sincere words.
"Hey, yeah, thanks. Congratulations for that, and... go us, I guess. Me and Mare, now me and you. Don't tell me next I'm teaming with -- haha, nah. Hey? Bring the intensity..? Yeah, sure."
>[But that's now what Sola wanted to say. If she was more like... well, others, she could have said something like:]You're right, I did do all the work. I was the one that took the spinebuster and the boot. The one that nearly had both the champ and the number one contender dead to rights in the middle of that ring. The one that reversed that superplex, and cut off the rope assisted lariat. The one that set things up for you to come in and steal all of my hard work.
>[But Sola's not like that. So she smiles, and puts her hands on her head, breathing hard, and lets the crowd actually boost her morale. It's gonna be a fight at JYE, but gosh darn it, Sola is ready.]
