>>20862724>What was it that made you become a NEET?Naturally fell into it after college in 2005. My dad died that autumn. Despite being a 'bright kid' I had zero ideas of what I could do as a wage-cuck, outside a vague notion of getting a back-office job. Of course, the 2008 cataclysm made that impossible, as they sped up the gutting of any aspie-friendly job to Red Chinese slaves.
>Was it just one straw or just sum of many?As above, it was the sum of many.
>I'm curious as to how we all ended up NEETs. What's you story? As above. Then I NEETed for ten years and finally got an apprenticeship. While waiting for a start date, I found my mother dead in our kitchen and it destroyed me. Somehow, I started and completed those 12 months and pass the apprenticeship. I did it for her. Sadly, this also outed me as an aspie/autist who was unable to deal with phones and customers. This noped me out of almost all post-2008 jobs, which are 'people' jobs.
13 months later, I finally get another job that is more back of house, but they also wanted me to cover the front desk. Despite acing the interview (in their words), they canned me after a week. Any hope of escaping NEETdom died right there. There was a vain attempt to find a tolerable three day a week job, but that failed too. Fortunately, the lockdown gave me a wonderful experience of not being bothered by the NEETbux people for the first time in 15 years. Going back after that for a year was tough. Then the govt made the 'bux people even worse. Fortunately, I applied for limited capability and got it. Now they leave me alone, but they will keep coming back to reassess me and I know they are corrupt enough to want to screw me over.
I live in the hope of UBI, so I never have to deal with anyone ever again. The economy was fucked, so I never had a chance with my mental illnesses. I hope I only have 20 years left of this miserable fucking existence, where living normally was quite impossible. Naturally, I am also incel as fuck.
