Every day we sit around and post about gossip, or we make inane comments, or we get into drama with one another, but we never sit around and talk about anything fucking serious. We never talk about important Bible passages and how they relate today. We never discuss where corporate efficiency should end and environmentalism should take over, where the fine line actually is located. We never discuss works of literature--think about it, a /ftl/ reading club, hosted by Klaus. I think the problem is first we have posters (Benleaks) who do their best to ensure that the threads remain destabilized so nobody brings forth seriousposting efforts. Second, there is a sort of malaise of depressed laziness--we need someone to encourage anons to become social, get out into their neighborhood, volunteer at their local library and begin attending the gym, to improve their own physical, emotional, and mental health so they can bring a healthy spirit to these threads. Third, camaraderie needs to be increased. We need to feel like a community again. We need to stop hating on important members of the community who bring us together (Klaus) and unite with those posters. We need to accept love, not hate. We need to move forward, not backward. Upward, not downward. We need to do so much, yet it seems thread after thread, we do not. The very first step is today, go to your local library and sign up to volunteer.
Bring a healthy mind to /ftl/, anons, and let's begin improving our room.
