The lid of my dutch oven is a grill pan, so the idea was that I could sear the meat then pop it in the pot with broth or whatever.
I wouldn't put glass on the stove top, it would need another pan.
Lately while cooking, I've been using more pans than I used to.
Was bangers and mash, with a couple eggs and onions.
In the past Id use one pan for all of it, except the pot with potatoes, but onions were in a second pan, and I sweated them for about an hour, rather than putting them aside while cooking snags and eggs.
I'm trying to get to the point that a dutch oven means only one pot and pan to wash but making more dishes, for me, is easier to make a meal.
